Weather Radios for Estill County Residents

Estill County Residents are currently eligible to receive a weather radio for free!.

The Estill County CSEP Program is distributing weather radios to Estill County residents. If you have not received your weather radio yet simply come to the Estill County EMA/CSEPP located at 182 Broadway, Irvine, KY. We will need your name, address, and phone number in order for you to receive a weather radio.

Estill County EMA/CSEPP has entered into an agreement with the National Weather Service (NWS) to use Irvine’s NWS transmitter to alert Estill County residents not only for weather events, but also for other emergencies that might affect Estill County such as in the event of a release of chemical warfare agent stored at the Bluegrass Army Depot.2013-02-22-13.51.55-1024x768

The weather radio is pre-programmed both for Estill County and for your specific CSEPP zone. For this reason, we ask if you have a weather radio and are moving to a new location, that you either leave the radio at your old residence or bring it back to us. If your new residence is still in Estill County, simply come and see us again and we will make sure you have a weather radio for your new residence. Our goal is provide a weather radio for every residence.

Residents of zones Estill-1 and Estill-2 are also eligible for a Shelter-In-Place starter kit.

*The weather radio remains the property of Estill County EMA/CSEPP

**There is a limit of one weather radio per address.
